Super Lazy Saturday

It’s Saturday, and I’m feeling lazy as ever.  It’s 7:45, and I’m still in my pajamas.  Luckily they’re my favorite pajamas, and I’m getting a little kitty lovin’ while blogging.  It was a rainy morning, and even though the rain stopped, I still can’t seem to get my butt to the gym. Yeah, I’ll get there, must maybe about 30 minutes later than anticipated.

I want to thank everyone for you open-minded comments on yesterday’s post.  The vegetarian/ vegan/ pescetarian/ whatevertarian debate hits close to home for a lot of us, and I’m happy you accept me for being a human garbage disposal.  Seriously – I eat (and generally enjoy) just about everything.

In case you too are having a lazy Saturday, here are some links to keep you busy… well, busy doing basically nothing, that is.

Lastly, I wanted to share a book with you all.  I finished The Poacher’s Son yesterday.  It was a fast and very entertaining read.  I thoroughly recommend it.

Have a good weekend!

Spreading Link Love

Yes, I actually went to the gym last night.  I don’t like to be negative, but it was hooorrrrible!  It was packed, people were rude, ladies were letting their lovely lady lumps out all over the place, and I saw more bad form than a kindergarten ballet recital.  Yes, it was that bad.

Moving on… today started out well, and it’s still going strong!

I had a great treadmill run this morning.  I did three miles at 7 mph with hills.  I started at a zero incline and increased it 0.5% per minute until I got to 8 minutes, and then I did it all over again.  Sweat sweaty sweaty.  This workout was hard but manageable.  It should set me up well for an easy run Thursday and my race Saturday.  Yuppers, I said race.  I’ll be doing a 5k, and I’m starting to get both nervous and excited.

Other good things:

    1. Rocking the Nude Pumps Again
    2. We get Panera breakfast at work today.  Mmm… sugar-laden calorie-bomb muffin…
    3. Earl Gray tea on a rainy day

Here is a little link love.  Some of it is beer focused due to Craft Beer Week that is going on now.  Will you be celebrating craft beer week, and if so, how so?

* I purchased a LND when I went shopping Saturday.  Check out this link, and let me know how I should accessorize.  Should I go with nude pumps (again) or navy kitten heels?  Too much  navy, or perfect pairing?

Helloooooo!

Hello and thank you for visiting my new blog.  As you can see, this is my first post.  Wowzer!  How exciting?!?

This first post is a quickie that’s meant to get the ball rolling, and in doing so, I’d like to highlight a few blogs/sites that gave me the inspiration to start something of my own.  Check out the link love below.

In the near future, I’ll be updating the About Me, Favs, Recipes, Workouts, and Travel information.  I also plan to upload some more pics and fresh posts.  Who doesn’t love pictures?  I may not yet have a fancy-schmancy camera, and I might also not be able to spell schmancy, but I’m just going to go with it.

Thanks again for visiting.  Wish  me luck, and y’all come back now!
